Rockin’ Ds’ Productions is owned by David Pond and Don Chartrand. Having a combined 40+ years in the dj and entertainment industry, there aren’t many show types we haven’t seen. We have also seen a few different ways to run a dj business, having worked with and for other dj companies, but we never quite found the proper mix of elite customer service and dj skill to match our own business philosophy. The only way to fix this, we thought, was to start our own business. Thus RDP was born, and the Ottawa market has responded! It seems people like the idea of consistency and reliability at a reasonable price. By keeping our business small we have unmatched control over quality of service. Any dj that works for us has proven that they have the same commitment to service that we do. They are also “live show” tested to ensure that they have the dj skills that all RDP clients have come to expect.
Why hire a professional?
Options for music at your event have never been more plentiful. The temptation to save a few bucks by hiring the cheapest dj is certainly there, but consider this. At a wedding for example, the dj is the lone source of entertainment that will make your event a success or failure. For those roughly 4 hours after dinner, everybody in the room is looking to the dj to finish the night off with lots of dancing and great memories. But lets back up, this is the same dj who met with you weeks earlier and went over each and every detail of the big day to be certain nothing was left to chance. All through dinner he stayed close to the music controls to ensure the music was muted the second anyone grabbed the mic to wish the happy couple well. All of these things and more he did quietly in the background to ensure the spotlight stayed where it belongs, on the Bride and Groom. Now the real work begins, lets get these people out of their seats and dancing.
